After recently reworking our Derby Shoe pattern to include a lowered outside quarter panel and French Binding we are excited to offer this version in a brand new Cigar coloured Horsehide from Italy. This is a full-grain, glazed leather that takes and holds a shine very easily. The light brown shade pairs perfectly with a casual navy suit or worn-in denim. The Service Boot in Colour 4 Shell Cordovan is our fifth Shell release of the year and our first made with Stitchdown Construction in over two years. Horween's Colour 4 is a medium brown shade named after the dye formula which has half the intensity of their famous Colour 8. It's a rarely seen colour of Shell, but certainly one of the most versatile. This boot is built on the 2030 last and features small Vintage Brass Eyelets and a Brogue Toe Cap as an homage to our early Shell Cordovan releases. When initially developing our Chelsea boot one of the very first samples we made was in this British full-grain Black Calf Suede. Chelsea boots have taken many forms over their long history, but the most iconic cultural associations have almost always been with a sleek, all black version. After having teased this make up for over a year we are excited to offer what we feel is a quintessential take on this boot. Since its launch the Service Boot Tan Horsehide has consistently been one of our most popular models. We recently decided to reboot this style by converting the construction back to the Stitchdown method it was originally released with and switching the last from the 1035 to our new Cantilever shape. On our last visit to Horween Leather in Chicago we caught a glimpse of a piece of Shell Cordovan hanging in their offices with a distinct floral pattern embossed in it. It turned out that this was a western style print, available on most leather types but rarely utilized outside of small accessories. Since that moment we have been planning a release with this unique leather and eventually decided that the wholecut Slipper would be the ideal platform to showcase the intricate details of the pattern in an uninterrupted manner. This is a one time offering and will be available in extremely limited quantities. Preorder the Slipper Black Floral Print Shell Cordovan here and click through for the full feature.
