After experimenting with Goodyear Welted manufacturing in the 1960s, we were excited to bring the production method back to our factory full-time almost two years ago. Since that introduction, we have been diligently searching for the machinery necessary to produce Goodyear Welted products with a Channelled Insole, which we feel is the highest quality and most traditional version of this manufacturing method. We are pleased to announce that we have tracked down several vintage machines from the 1940s and are now able to produce Goodyear Welted footwear with a Channelled Insole in place of the typical canvas ribbing. Last year, in our efforts to constantly seek out new and unconventional materials, we introduced a Brown Reindeer leather from a small tannery in Norway using traditional vegetable-tanning techniques. The leather was difficult to import and incorporate into our production, but the finished product was one of the most interesting boots we had offered to date. This year we've worked with the same tannery to bring in a lighter, Toast coloured version of that same Reindeer leather. The combination of the wild reindeer hides and the gentle tanning process result in a leather that is high in character and easily broken in. You can expect a significant patina to begin developing almost immediately. Click through for the full feature and purchase the Service Boot Toast Reindeer here.

Shell Cordovan is known for its nearly imperceptible grain, which gives the leather an almost perfect, glass-like finish. For the enthusiast a pair a Shell boots or shoes is easy to spot, but for those not in the know the material can sometimes appear to lack the natural character associated with high-quality leather. For our most recent Shell Cordovan release we asked Horween to stamp a limited run of Mahogany Shells with their signature Boxboard print. The print gives the impression of a softer, tumbled leather while preserving the signature sheen and finish of Shell Cordovan. The rarely seen combination results in a wearable, classic boot with a subtle twist. Click through for the full feature and preorder the Derby Boot Mahogany Boxboard Shell Cordovan here.
After several years of sampling and development we are excited to finally debut the Bernhard Boot. This new chukka-height pattern takes inspiration from a rare vintage 1920s boot in Brett Viberg's personal collection. Named after our founder Edwin Bernhard Viberg, this boot pays homage to the pre-depression era and the circumstances that led to the formation of our company. The boot features a reverse seam on the quarters, an overlay on the vamp and a custom Crepe unit sole that matches the original boots.
