Based off of a Vintage Canadian Military Parade last. This last features a low profile silhouette and elongated almost shape toe. This last accommodates most foot shapes in the standard E width. Due to the research and development of the 2030 last, this tends to fit almost every type of foot. Our 2030 is our most commonly used last and is a good basis of comparison when looking to fitting our other lasts.

The timeless design and rugged durability of the Stitchdown Service Boot® are synonymous with the Viberg brand and have been since 1931.

Stitchdown Construction

Our Stitchdown construction is distinguished by double-row stitching attaching the vamp to the sole. The turned-out vamp causes water and dirt to be wicked away, stopping moisture from entering the boot and keeping your feet dry in almost any condition. This is a utility-focused construction method, so even when paired with the most high-end leathers, it will still perform and function like our industrial products.

Annonay French Calf

We have used Annonay's famed Vocalou tannage for our Stitchdown Service Boot, as we feel this pairing of leather and boot is the perfect combination of sophistication and durability, resulting in an authentically made product stemming from the traditions of tanning and bootmaking. What makes this tannage unique, is that it is a semi-aniline leather, which allows a degree of natural grain transparency, which gives the skin colour depth. Annonay also uses traditional glazing jacks, which is a mechanical glass arm, used to polish the leather, giving it a very high shine, similar to Shell Cordovan.
