Service Boot® 2040 BCT - Shinki Dark Brown Latigo Horsehide

Select Size

In the US & Canada, Viberg Boots size differently so we recommend sizing down 1 full size, or if you have wide feet, 1/2 a size down. Unless noted, all widths are size E.

Worldwide, take your standard size. If you need sizing help, reach out on chat.

Our 2040 references a vintage 1940s work boot. The fit of this last is semi anatomical meaning the forefront is wider to allow room across the ball of the foot, while the waist and heel narrow to secure the foot and cup the heel.
In addition, the toe box is slightly elevated creating a slight bump, which allows more room for your toes while working.

For sizing, we recommended going one size smaller than your Brannock size.
The 2040 fits similar in length to our 2030 last.

The timeless design and rugged durability of the Service Boot® are synonymous with the Viberg brand and have been since 1931. Our iconic Stitchdown Service Boot® features a double row of stitching that attaches the upper to the sole. Because the upper is turned outward before being attached to the sole, Stitchdown construction causes water and mud to be wicked away from the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry in any conditions.

This Limited Release pair is in a custom-coloured Dark Brown Latigo Horsehide from Japan's Shinki-Hikaku Tannery.

Shinki-Hikaku (Japan)

Shinki Hikaku was established in 1951 and, like Viberg, is a family-run business. As the only tannery in the world devoted exclusively to horse leather, their typical tanning process involves drying and aging stages that take up to four months and produce a unique texture and grain.

Stitchdown Construction

Our iconic Stitchdown Service Boot® features a double row of stitching that attaches the upper to the sole. Because the upper is turned outward before being attached to the sole, Stitchdown construction causes water and mud to be wicked away from the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry in any conditions.
