Aaron Levine is a menswear designer and Creative Director with an eye for detail and a deep appreciation of craftsmanship.The Jungle Boot was over two years in the making and is the product of Aaaron's unique sense of style, combined with Viberg's legacy of pushing the boundaries of performance and style.The result is a boot that honors our heritage while innovating on the iconic American army boot.

Aaron, how would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is a mash of several things. I like creating tension within things I wear but mostly based off of classic items. I like mixing something pretty with something gritty. It feels balanced to me.

What was the inspiration behind these Viberg x Levine boots?

It was all about tension here too. We toyed with a classic military inspired boot, then applied the amazing materials Viberg is known for using. Once we elevated the materials of this classic boot, we added a technical sole to riff off the traditional upper.

Where and how would you typically wear a boot like this?

Personally, I like to wear them off denim. With some easy functional outerwear. They also work well under a straight leg trouser with a nice easy sweater. I also wear them with shorts, but I know that's not for most people.

What are you reading and listening to right now?

I'm listening to several different books right now: The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe, Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy, Cosmos by Carl Sagan, and Werner Herzog’s Every Man for Himself and God Against All recommended by my friend Jake Mueser. 

l'm on vacation with the fam right now so I'm listening to whatever my kids want to listen to and I'm totally cool with it. If I were solo in the jeep, l'd probably throw on a dead show. A few recent ones in my line-up were 5/22/78, 6/14/76, 9/2/68, and the classic 5/8/77. 

There seem to be several seasons of Aaron Levine style, where are we currently?

We are currently rebooting in the Caribbean. I tried to pack as lean as possible. A couple pairs of black swim trunks and a Wythe khaki cotton linen work shirt. I travel a ton so I try to keep things very simple. Things I can wear over and over again and don't show the wear.

How important is craftsmanship in the things that you buy and own?

So important. I buy a ton of vintage on eBay. Things that have been around for a long time and I can just continue to wear. That's my favorite stuff to buy. Things that were made amazingly well. I can just continue to add to their story.
