The idea of a casual laceless shoe goes all the way back to the 1920s, but it wasn't until the late 70s and early 80s that a canvas version with a rubber sole was widely popularized. Worn all across America, but particularly in California where it would be adopted by skaters and eventually associated with the punk movement. The Slip On is our ode to this era. Our version is crafted from heavyweight leathers and suedes for a luxurious take on an iconic shoe. Proudly made in Canada at our Victoria factory from start to finish.

Britain's C.F. Stead has been producing some of the finest suedes and wild animal leathers in the world for over a century. Their Janus Calf is, in our opinion, the highest quality suede leather available and durable enough to be worn in all conditions. With a full grain and aniline reverse, the resulting hide is firm while maintaining a luxurious and silky finish.
Suede should be regularly brushed or wiped with a clean cloth to remove surface dirt. Our Suede Brush and Eraser (coming soon) can also be used to restore nap and lift marks and stains.
For over 85 years we have been handcrafting some of the world’s best footwear. Third generation family owned and operated and proudly made in Canada.
