Service Boot® 2040 - Mahogany Shell Cordovan

Select Size

In the US & Canada, Viberg Boots size differently so we recommend sizing down 1 full size, or if you have wide feet, 1/2 a size down. Unless noted, all widths are size E.

Worldwide, take your standard size. If you need sizing help, reach out on chat.

Our 2040 references a vintage 1940s work boot. The fit of this last is semi anatomical meaning the forefront is wider to allow room across the ball of the foot, while the waist and heel narrow to secure the foot and cup the heel.
In addition, the toe box is slightly elevated creating a slight bump, which allows more room for your toes while working.

This last was designed to accommodate all foot shapes and will support your feet all day long.

For sizing, we recommended going one size smaller than your Brannock size.
The 2040 fits similar in length to our 2030 last.

The Service Boot® is our most iconic product that dates back to 1931.  Characterized by an “antique” brown colour with a slight red undertone, Mahogany shell is rich, brown shade that is classic and versatile.

This Shell Cordovan boot ships with a Certificate of Authenticity, a set of Viberg cedar shoe trees, and a 4 oz. bottle of Viberg shoe cream.

Small batch, limited run production from our factory in Victoria, BC.

    • Horween Shell Cordovan (USA)
    • 9 Antique brass eyelets
    • Brogue cap toe
    • Antique midsole
    • Stitchdown construction

    Stitchdown Construction

Our iconic Stitchdown Service Boot® features a double row of stitching that attaches the upper to the sole. Because the upper is turned outward before being attached to the sole, Stitchdown construction causes water and mud to be wicked away from the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry in any conditions.

    Limited production

Viberg is a small factory with a maximum capacity of 10,000 pairs per year. Our small production runs, timeless silhouettes, and custom leathers support our adherence to "slow manufacturing." This process emphasizes the importance of each link in the chain, both people and materials, and creates a sense of purpose and belonging that makes Viberg different from every other footwear brand.

    Archival Utility

The rugged utility of the Stitchdown Service Boot® epitomizes our 90-year industrial history of building footwear designed for hard work outside.
